Kilmarnock House was everything we had expected. A heritage house with the decor of an Edwardian era. The rooms are fairly large, with shower facilities and equiped with a small pantry suitable for preparing light meals. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

the room was big and came with a kitchenette and fresh fruit. the bed was comfortable, and the bedding was of excellent quality. We enjoyed the complimentary port and sherry, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
There was a small issue with the patchy wifi.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location was superb, just a short walk away from the city center. The staff here are amazing, providing top-notch service throughout our stay. The room amenities were excellent, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including ironing facilities, a sitting area, and even an in-room safe. The free toiletries provided added a nice touch. We also appreciated having a kitchen in our room, complete with cookware and an electric kettle. The electric blankets were a nice addition for those cooler nights. The room itself was spacious and tastefully decorated, with a television, AM/FM alarm clock, and even a CD player. The carpeted floors added a cozy touch, and the dining area was perfect for enjoying meals in our room.
This place is also great for families, with plenty of amenities to keep everyone comfortable and entertained.

During Christmas time, we stayed at a charming heritage hotel with cozy and spacious family rooms with separate living spaces, kitchens, and comfortable beds. the location was convenient, just a short stroll to supermarkets and restaurants, and had off-street parking. We enjoyed the beautiful period ambiance and the warm welcome from the helpful hosts.
Although the hotel was charming, it was let down by a lack of attention to cleanliness in some areas. the bathroom showed serious signs of neglect, with dirty walls and shower frames with visible mould.

Friendly but unobtrusive staff. Very clean and very comfortable. Loved staying in an Edwardian House loved the feel and furniture.
Needed a heater in the 2nd bedroom for the kids. Maybe a Larger hot water storage or instantaneous unit in the family room plenty hot water for 2 but not quite enough for 4. We ended up splitting shower times am and pm.

The location was convenient with accessible parking. The room was large, well maintained and very comfortable and the home is beautifully restored. Complimentary sherry/port appreciated.
Breakfast option is self-cook and lacked range of choice and other providers are some distance away.
